Summary
- When the destination bucket of an active XDCR replication is deleted, the XDCR service will automatically remove the replication after a short period of time.
Symptoms
- A replication is removed without any user action to delete it.
- The destination bucket was deleted shortly before the replication disappeared.
- The log tab displays the message:
“Replication from bucket A to bucket B on cluster X removed, since Bucket B has been missing for Y times.”
Triggers
- Deletion of the destination bucket for an active XDCR replication triggers the replication removal.
Verification
- The log tab includes the message: “Replication from bucket A to bucket B on cluster X removed, since Bucket B has been missing for Y times.”
- The destination bucket for the affected replication has been deleted.
Workarounds
- No workaround is available. To resume replication, recreate the destination bucket and the replication, or create a new replication targeting another bucket.
