Product: Couchbase Server Component: XDCR Issue Link: MB-62294 Affects Versions: 7.1.5, 7.1.6, 7.2.x, 7.6.x Fix Versions: 7.2.6, 7.6.6, 8.0.0
Summary
- When the “Filter Binary Documents” option is enabled in the “Filter Replication” settings for an XDCR replication, document deletions (tombstones) are not replicated to the destination bucket. The XDCR service treats these deletions as binary documents and excludes them from replication.
Symptoms
- Documents deleted in the source bucket remain present in the destination bucket, while regular document updates and inserts are replicated as expected.
Triggers
- The “Filter Binary Documents” option is enabled in the XDCR “Filter Replication” properties.
Verification
- Changes in the source bucket are replicated to the destination bucket, except for document deletions.
Workarounds
- No workaround is available for this issue currently. To resolve, upgrade the Couchbase Server to a fixed version (7.2.6 or later, 7.6.6 or later, or 8.0.0).
